Update to my review…
I looked at the shipping label and it did say “2 day air”. I called to inquire about that but declined to provide any info as to why it took a week and it’s would need to be the shipper that inquires.
Ordered hitch on 4-7 and the “2 day air” got it to me on 4/13. Nothing on the shipping label indicated that shipping method.
The hitch had approx 1/2” of free play-space at the top connection with the bottom fully seated on the quick attach plate. Because of this the hitch would not stay connected on the top and kept coming off while attempting to pull the trailer. (See pic below where a piece of 1/2” rebar fills the void)
The receptacles for the slide in hitch are fabricated with divider plates. These plated are welded on the sides but actually miss the edges of the plate. Which makes them weaker and we had to reposition one that bent down.
The directions suggest not using the forward series of holes for the hitch retaining pin. The hitch would be stronger if these forward holes were eliminated and it just was a solid piece of metal.
This hitch would be best suited for moving empty boat, trailers, and other small/lightweight carts. It says it’s
Rated for a 20k lb trailer but I’m not seeing that happening due to the compromised structural integrity and large tolerance for fitment.
The only way it would stay on was with a chain and turn buckle to secure it to the quick attach plate
I was really excited to use this and it was ok at best. Its cracked it a few spots on the weeds and beyond. Didn't fit but made it work. Under load and I meant 3500lbs trailers its moves around on the skidsteer plate. I will have to weld and beef this up. Sad bc I thought USA made stuff was supposed to be top notch. Wouldn't recommend. Pictures available
Heavy duty, attached to my skid steer and worked very well. this is very usefull for movivg trailers around without the hassel of using a truck. also glad that it is made in the use and why i choose to purchase this mount.
I'm sure this is a good product. However, don't rely on 2 day shipping. Ordered 9/4 @ about 10:34am and not supposed to receive until 9/8 until 7pm.
